They aren't the most original band, but they do what they do very well.

I've only heard the album they play all the time everywhere, but I like it. It reminds me of Dead Meadow.

Except without those nails-on-chalkboard vocals.


I like 'em. I tend to listen to a lot of retro "70s-ish shlock rock" and they are definitely one of the better practitioners thereof. They're ajust the tiniest bit on the polished and slick side for my tastes, but they still bring the rock.

I only learned about them recently.
They played a sold out show here in Washington last week.
I got to listen to the last 3 songs of their set and liked what I heard.
Great band name, too.

I can't bring myself to listen to them because i can't abide yet another wolf-related band name in the world. Call me shallow.

First there was the Vines. Then there was Jet. Now there is Wolfmother.

This is just 70's rock stuff isn't it. I don't see what the buzz is about these guys in particular. But when I was in S'tralia earlier this year they seemed really popular.

Didn't the Datsuns do this only a little while back (2 years)?

And then Jet last year-ish?

I heard a song that sounded like Grand Funk, so I like them.
