On in about 30 mins if you're on EDT or CDT. Wow!!!
Will it be the usual train wreck? I hope he talks to her for a bit. Should be a good "interview."

6Damn, she actually pulled it off.
Clearly the big band does wonders for her confidence. I don't know what I think about this new direction, but she sang great and it seems as if she has found a mode of performance that works for her.

Yes. Dave made fun at the end of the show: "Cat Power will reduce our dependence on foreign oil." Ouch.

9boy, that was cringetacular. she did pull it off, but the chicken dance stuff had me squirming, but somehow a bit elated. or something. still not sure, but I enjoyed it.
actually, I heard - "woooo-weeee! wooo-weee! what a woooorrrld!"
I think Letterman's reference was to her being so "high-strung" (he made a joke about Russert and the other guest being a little high-strung, after he mentioned Cat Power). I think it was a convenient pun, and a chance to get a playful dig at her crazy hoe-down antics.
all in all, I'm glad I caught it. didn't know if her kind of choas could work on network TV. thanks tipcat.
