The furs were a great band.
I was watching the dvd "from the house of blues" the other day.So good!
Their material sounds great live and the band is very tight.
I don't mind watching It over and over again.

The first 2 albums were great, and all I'm interested in. How quickly they fell.

Judging by the lack of interest in the band shown here,I'd say that they are Probably one of the most underrated rock bands ever.

Self-titled is all kinds of awesome. I always found them to be fairly mediocre, derivative perhaps, but the redemption is in the earnestness of the vocals.

"Imitation of Christ," I enjoy ye with a cigarette on a cold afternoon. Cheers for that.

Sister Europe is a great soundtrack to accompany sitting on the three season porch with a fresh bowl of Cambodian Red and a glass of lightly chilled wine on a rainy late summer afternoon. I recommend this experience highly (no pun intended).

CRAP
Even Martin Hannett , the "genius" , the "wizard" , didn't achieve to turn them into a good band.

Okay, I've wondered what people on here thought about the 'ol furs, I loved these guys when I was a kid, another one of those gateway kind of bands for me.

First and second albums I'll still pull out from time to time, Forever Now has a few moments, after that it's all downhill, wilth Midnight to Midnight sucking badly.

That DVD is very good, the new guitar virtuoso guy they have is pretty amazing, recreating all the sounds that he does.

I still like 'em...
