I find Old K's to be amazing sounding cymbals under a mic. Any one have any experience recording with Old K's?

wish i did- i've never had the opportunity to play an old k... they are scarce round these parts and i can't afford to pay the currently ridiculous prices they go for.

The kit that I formerly had access to was set up with a K-Custom Dry Ride, K Crash, and New Beat hats. The K cymbals were much easier to record, i felt, than the A-Customs the drummer also had laying around... Also, I understand the New Beats are quite popular, but it seems to me that K hats would have recorded a bit easier as well. I like them K's.

i assume you are using the term "old K" in reference to the turkish Ks of the 60s and before...?
