It was like Sonic Youth except the songs were good..... (i keed, i keed)
That drummer is the punk rock Peter Chris.
This is an old topic, I know, but I'm bored.

Mission of Burma are one of the precious few bands who have not only reunited after an extended period apart without embarassing themselves, they've come back arguably stronger than they were before. The live shows have been epochal, and if OnOffOn isn't quite better than Vs., it sits comfortably beside it as a landmark work of intelligent yet powerfully physical rock and roll.
Oh, and they has the good sense and taste to hire Bob Weston to do their live sound and loops, who performed his duties with genuine distinction. I think I kind of creeped him out when I told him what a great job he'd done after their show in Detroit, but it was a superb sounding show in a venue that doesn't get many great sounding shows (St. Andrew's Hall).
Not Crap ... as if this matter was ever seriously in question.

Well, I suppose there's no harm but I don't see the point, for the following reasons (although my justifications are not limited to these):
1) That MOB are not crap is understood to be a priori by anyone with a brain and an ounce of musical taste.
2) In an ideal world, people would be listening to MOB rather than voting on whether they are crap or not crap [crossreference 1 above].
3) Voting CRAP for a band that has Bob Weston as a member is like kicking a puppy. If you're a bastard enough to do it, you've invalidated your own existence, let alone your opinions, and you just need to shut the fuck up.

What's the point of even asking? The most "not crap" band ever!
