Nina Nastastia's "The Blackened Air." Just beautiful.

I also love the song he did on The Frames' "The Roads Outgrown." Great mix, nice pan positions.

"Shining In The Light" from the Page and Plant album also sounds fantastic.

The Shellac stuff also sounds great, with "1000 Hurts" being my personal favorite. Great guitar sounds and distinctly realistic kick drum sounds on a few of the songs.

the new year's newness ends and dianogah's battle champions are probably my favorites because the drums, acoustic guitars, and vocals (or any accoustic instruments) on both those records are extremely natural sounding.

the shellac records all sound great too, in particular the less roomy sounding songs on action park ('crows' 'boches dick' etc.)

To add to what other folks are saying...

Most Silkworm. (Blueblood was the exception, wasn't it, guys?)

Joel R.L. Phelps/The Downer Trio: 3. Gorgeous.

Bedhead's Transaction de Novo

And others, but it's Sunday. I'm off-duty.

Performed: At Action Park. (Two Nuns... a very close second.)

Recorded: PJ Harvey's Rid of Me. There's probably any number of as-good or better records, but I've just never gotten sick of this one.
