What's the deal with this drug, why is it so pervasive in the Midwest and Northwest? It's all over that damn show COPS! Isn't it just battery acid and cooked up Sudafed, basically? Who takes this stuff?
Is there really an epidemic?

It and oxycontin are the new opiate of the masses. It keeps the rural people from acting up.
It's all cyclical:
We live in shitty times, so people get high on really awful garbage that has been proven to do really nasty stuff to you. Then we're left with these wasteoids and the brownfields their Meth Labs leave behind, which makes rural areas depressing as hell, so time to get high.
