I have not seen the Luttenbachers in a long time but I agree, not crap. Speed metal/jazz that kills people dead is never crap. Plus they did it in a way that often made me bend over laughing. Very irritatingly enjoyable.

The Flying Luttenbachers, through their many incarnations, have continued to impress me. Wanky enough to attract the interest of "free-jazz-artistes"/"prog-proffesors", yet fun and rocking enough to keep inbred hicks like myself interested.

Weasel Walter is a decent chap, as well.

Best albums are "Gods of Chaos" and the newest one "Systems Emerge From Complete Disorder."

Not crap.

Oh fuck... I just got back from that Luttenbachers show at Bottom of the Hill. They were actually 2nd on the bill, but it was packed. The people in the back who had obviously not heard this band went from ennui to riveted fascination...

There's a 4th luttenbacher now too... That's fantastic.

Yeah, so not crap. I'm glad they re-located out west. Reminds me of that Genesis song "Motherlode". Go west young man... or not so young man...

This band is the polar opposite of Phish. Everything is so complicated, yet economical. They never tax you with boring, trite, pedestian, blues-based waka waka on the geetar. Everything is so rigid, mechanical, foreign, alien... Like the robot says... "Hi!"

Oh, by the way, I would like to play keyboards for TFL. Here is my resume:

1993 - Canadian leg of Fugazi world tour.

Here's the proof... it's in the puddin'...

Dream show:

The Flying Luttenbachers
Sleepytime Gorrilla Museum
U.S. Maple
5uu's
Thinking Plague
Cheer-Accident
(in no particular order, though Cheer-Ax should do the pre-intermission headline slot)

(intermission)
Fugazi w/ Wernehm Zackariaah on keyboards and guest appearances from members of Dream Theater. (ahhh... just like old times)

Ok... I'm going to drink some maker's mark, enjoy some green tea, and watch the Magma triology DVD... Good night!

Certainly not crap. Revenge of the Flying Luttenbachers. Spastic guitars. Beautiful stuff. Weasel Walter collaborated with Glenn Branca on his most recent guitar symphony: "Hallucination City,' for which I might just make the trip down to New Jersey to see in person this February as it is the premiere.
