I am considing buying one of these. Anyone have any experiences to share?

I have one of these units and also the UA 6176, I love the sound of the 610, its a very warm sound. It works great on Kick and snare, adding a little bit of tube analog compression. You can also mix down to tape through the 2-610. I highly recommend it.

This being slightly out of my price range, I am wondering if anyone knows of any quality 610 clone kits. I didn't find anything with a google search.
