2The demos are great, as well as Reek of Putrification. Any of the old grind stuff is where it's at, but I think I remember liking some of the Heartwork EP too.
Not crap.

4"Reek of Putrefaction" is to this day the most repulsive record ever made. It had quite the effect on me in my formative years.
Not crap, WF every band playing nowadays inspired by their more melodic later output.

8Our bassist brought a battered cassette of Heartwork on tour with us, and it has logged some significant van time. I just bought the CD version (among like, 20 other things) yesterday, and spent the early afternoon listening to it.
NOT CRAP.
Plus, isn't that album cover great?

9Carcass - 'Heartwork' is, in my opinion, the best metal record ever made.
Carcass are playing again too!
Any youtube footage I've seen of them reformed looks pretty fucking good.
