Chi-town audio engineering programs?

Columbia is where it's at if you want to learn audio in Chicago. I couldn't afford to go to college so I maxed out a credit card buying gear and started recording as many bands I as could. I hung out on audio forums, and read lots of books.

It's a tough business. There are quite a few studios in the Chicago area whose owners work a day job outside of the industry to make ends meet and hope that their studios pay for themselves. Some months that doesn't happen.

Audio is a career of passion.

Chi-town audio engineering programs?

Thanks. So I haven't started any programs yet based on the same principal. It seems that the most successful audio engineers are DIY anyways. Unfortunately I haven't purchased any more equipment and most of my focus outside of my day job has been on my band and the gear associated with that. But I have improved slightly on mike placement and mixing, so that's something I guess.I hope to go full throttle someday, but I highly enjoy being in bands in comparison to recording. And neither are paying the bills right now, so......
