I see y'all got the c37p and c48p. Any info on the c35p? All that I know is that it is a solid-state condensor microphone. I am interested in any info regarding sound quality and reliability.
thanks
mike

I'm sure it sounds fine.
Steve will probably write a bunch of crap about it that will make you like it or leave you confused, but it's probably a decent mic.

I think the "p" stands for ding-dong

I found this post archived..........I just wanted to say that the c37p is an FET version of an older c37 (which sounds incredible, maybe ribbon? I don't remember off the top of my head). The c37p is not nearly as great a microphone, but still versatile and more stable than the original (cheaper to fix obviously).

The C37 has never been a ribbon, only a large dia. capacitor mic.

C37a: Valve stage (or tube).
C37b: Fet stage, battery only.
C37p: Fet, phantom power.

Regarding that old forum post:

C35p: Small dia. fet capacitor mic, end fire capsule (I think).
C36p: Small dia. fet capacitor mic, side fire capsule.

That's right! Thank you for the correction, the origin of the c37 slipped my mind.

Does that say $49.00?

Let me know if you don't want them all.

they were $149 each and now they are $99 each.

I e-mailed them to see if they'll sell a pair at a discount...

What do you know about these?
