I like Macs well enough. I generally use PC's cause that's what I got. But Apple is not some perfect corporation.
1. The new MacBook Pros are plagued with problems
2. iTunes and iPods are using some of the same Microsoft-ish tactics to limit competition
3. now their lawyers are sending out C&D letters to bloggers for embedding youtube videos of the new beta OS
anyway, none of these would really bother me but it seems that all (ok, not all) apple enthusiasts are slightly hypocritical in that they make excuses where, if it were M$ doing these things...
anyway, digg.com has been very entertaining as of late. Any slightly negative comment about apple gets buried immediately.

Well, I've had mine since they came out and haven't had any problems with it at all. So...what are all these problems that they're plagued with?
Oh, and fuck Mars Volta.

5All I want is a computer that works really well and fast and doesn't give me a bunch of fucking problems that take up all my time fixing instead of doing what I need to be doing with the computer. My last two PCs gave me a TON of problems. My Mac's don't.
So what was the question?

9I really like Macs. Seriously. I've used them many many times, and I like lots of things about them. Great machines. I really, really fucking hate people who go on, and on, and on, and on about them, people who have decided part of their life is promoting and evangelising for a technology corporation. People who have some arrogant, nonsensical fantasy that 95% of desktop computer users are unproductive, frustrated, virus-riddled drones who could be released from the yoke of Windows oppression and live their wildest creative dreams if they just had a twice-the-price computer from a different corporation.
Jesus Christ, you're like evangelical Christians. Perhaps even more annoying. The arrogant egomania of Apple Mac users never ceases to amaze me. The culty certainty that they are somehow special, the 5%, a certainty carefully nurtured by probably the best sustained shark-eyed marketing campaign in history.
That's what puts me off buying a Mac. Not the great OS, the elegant industrial design, or the well integrated hardware/software lifestyle thing. It's the people.
