I know a bunch of you fuckers live in Seattle (like me). And I know a bunch of you are going to the Scratch Acid show on Saturday (like me). Perhaps a bunch of you would enjoy getting together for a pre-show beer (or several)?

I feel your pain - I missed a Shellac/Six Finger Satellite show in Seattle back when I was 20. Mere months away. Maybe you could content yourself by getting blind drunk in the parking lot during the show. Or maybe not.

I am very, very close to broke right now, and had to pass this up. I am dumb.

But, I did see Mission of Burma last night, and they tore it up. Enough to inspire my friend Adam to poor beer all over his rented tux.

The Showbox is a rather large place. For all the losers checking this board on the weekend, I was planning on biking down from Ballard and catching a beer or two at the Nite Lite on Second and Virginia around 8:00-8:30 provided it's not swamped.

I will be the jaded white guy with glasses. That ought to narrow it down a bit.

In reality, I will be that guy and wearing a red Why Not Minot? t-shirt and some black shorts looking nervous about having his bike nicked and having to cab it home.

And unless tallchris claims it, I also have a spare ticket. Apprently the reunion of a twenty-year-dead band who was strikingly unpopular during their "heyday" was not enough to drive ticket sales to Slint levels. Go figure.
