Pardon if you're already familiar with them, but I just found this incredible new band called the Young Widows. Their LP is noise rock bliss. Sounds like Big'n, Shellac, etc. Best new shit I've heard since we sadly lost Mclusky.

Is this a Steve recording by chance? Sounds like it to me.

I know when they were called Black Cross they recorded all there stuff at a studio in Louisville owned by Chris Owens. I think that's where they recorded this stuff as well, although I could be mistaken.

Yes they are good and should be investigated by the masses on this board.

this band shares a member with Breather Resist, who are also worth checking out

yeah, this is breather without their singer.

the record was recorded by chris who is the main dude in lords, another fine louisville band. he records a lot of good sounding shit.

we played with them at their first in Louisville in May. They were really terrific, and swell guys. Breather Resist without the lead singer , which imo was a good move.
