I don't like how babies are the crux.

I don't like how people have them when it's clear they don't know anything.

Babies are not "the crux" unless you live a very short and unfulfilling life. I don't like watching people who don't seem to have their own lives together conceive either, but luckily their lives are not my responsibility and neither is their child's.

On the other hand, continuing the species seems like maybe not the worst idea. And babies are cute, at least when you don't have to deal with their inner workings.

I say not crap, other than the aforementioned inner workings.

Granted. Somehow though, no one ever applies this argument to dogs.

I'd say dogs are crap too. Perhaps with a waffle factor or four. (I've always had a soft spot for little terrier-esque dogs.)

Babies and dogs make a good life that much more enjoyable. They give back to you pretty much what you put into them.
