OK. You put down your thoughts for the division, LCS, and WS, ending with a winner for each series. Extra points for submitting the winner in X number of games. You can provide reasons for your predictions, but if your proven wrong, then you look more like an asshole. If you leave it blank like I do, it's because you're sorta sissy, but think anything can happen in a 5 game series and that this year there's a lot of parity thus making predictions more tenuous than usual.

If you get this right, you get bragging rights, and maybe I'll send you a pack of Extra Green Apple Gum in the mail or an e-flower.

The series:

Stl @ SD
LAD @ NYM

Oak @ Min
Det @ NYY

=========

I say: Padres over Cards; Dodgers over Mets. Minnesota over Oakland, and as much as I'd love to see the Tigers win, they've scuffled since the break, and the Yankees offense can make up for a lot of mistakes, so the Yankees win. Shit.

Dodgers over Padres in 6. Yankees over Twins in 5.

WORLD SERIES: Yankess over Dodgers in 5, maybe 6.

Now you go.

Get a clue.
The first sentence will explain everything.

Clue not needed. This would be a different game. One involving teams of consequence.

You mean teams of inconsequence.

Jesus christ, you hairdressers, are we going to talk baseball or meta-posting?

ALDS

Twins def. As in 5

With Liriano, this would never go to 5 games. But the starting rotation for the Twins has looked vulnerable lately, especially at home where they're usually a near-lock for the W. Still, they're hitting lights out and could take it in 4.

Tigers def. Yanks in 5

The Tigers have something to prove now and I can't see this September slide continuing into October. They've been hitting as well as ever, but the pitching has faltered and they've had some inexplicable defensive problems. I think they'll straighten up and they match up well on the mound with the Yankees when their starters are performing up to their potential.

ALCS

Twins def. Tigers in 6

Only because I love the Twins and I can't be objective about this. My girlfriend's a Tigers fan and, after yesterday, if this comes to pass as well, I'll probably have to sleep on the couch until December.

I have zero interest in the National League. The ALCS winner will be the World Series champ.
