Neotek Series 1 ? Decent?

I have recently come across a Neotek Series 1, which I am considering buying, but have only used the 2 series consoles. Does anyone have any professional experience with this board? If I decide to undertake this, it it pretty easy to make it a really good board (ie...switch a few line cards and maybe a few transistors on the channels). I know the Neotek's patchbay's are kinda crazy, but is there anything specifically that makes it sub-standard to the 2 series?
Thanks in advance...

After a few weeks of metering the patchbay to try and figure it all out, I have come to the conclusion that the Series 1 I bought was in fact a very good deal. Aside from the concentric-pot EQs (which are very hard to find) it is already a pretty nice sounding console. The Schadow TT switches we a little bitchy for a minute, but after a good cleaning they came back to life. The only thing that I am having small problems finding are replacement pots, and reasonably priced (but professional) TT patchcables.
So yeah. The Neotek has a new home.

I normally make cables myself (because it's cheaper and I can be picky about the connector brands) but for TT patch cables I bought a bunch of Neutrik patch cables from Full Compass for $10 a pop (in groups of 10) because fussing with that tiny connector looked like a real pain in the ass. I don't know if that meets your criteria of reasonably priced, but the construction of the cables is decent and they were the cheapest reputable manufacturer I found. This dude probably has some cheaper cables but it might be a crapshoot:

This guy's alright from my experiences. Ive only dealt with him on ebay, as a seller and as a buyer. I bought what I thought to be a standard 96 point TT Patchbay, and got this crappy plastic shitty box. I complained and he instantly sent me nice ADC 96 point TT patchbay. Fair enough.

For the input....
As it turns out I found a half decent used supply of switchcraft TT type ones...so I won't be needing anymore. Thanks though!
