I have a 400 rb Gallien-Kruguer head into a 4x10 SWR Workingman's cabinet. I use a Boss Power Driver 2 for fuzz stuff. I'm pretty happy with it all around. I'd probably get a Ampeg V4 if I had the money, but the gear I have do everything I need it to.

Traynor Mono-blok with matching 2x15 inch Eminence cab. Boss Overdrive/Distortion pedal. American P and Mustang basses. (Left handed)
I'd like to try out the new Traynor bass amp... 200watt tube and fairly cheap. I'm also dying to get two seperate 15 inch cabs instead of the 2x15 beast. Moving it is a bitch.

early '70s Ampeg V-4B (a heavy, blue one) running into my crappy Hartke 4x10, but for anything important i usually borrow a friend's SWR 8x10. it's been a couple years since i've played bass in a band, but at the time i played an imitation Grabber through a mild distortion pedal and it sounded pretty neat. nowadays the 'rig' mostly gets used for a synth/keyboard amp.

I also use the 400RB. Not only do I like the way it sounds, but I like the fact that it fit in my carry-on bag the last time we flew. It goes through an Ampeg 8X10. That did not fit in my carry-on bag.

SWR workingman's 300 and an SWR workingman's 4x10T.
nothing but the crappy for me! it actually sounds pretty rad if you turn it up louder than it wants to go. it has a nice fart-like quality to it.

An early 90s Fender BXR300 head, Peavey 410TX and an Avatar B115. I have a Boss GT6B, but I hardly ever use it for bass unless I want some fuzz or a DI into the PA. My basses include a refinished bastardization of an early 70s Deluxe P-Bass (split coil and humbucker P/Us), and an MTD Kingston 4.

Mine came in a nice blue flight case when I bought it last summer. Makes it a lot easier to carry in and out of the van day after day.

I'm starting my chain with a Travis Bean TB 2000 into a Gallien-Krueger 700 RB through a Sans Amp Bass Driver unit into an Ampeg 8 by 10 cabinet. While I really am quite satisfied with my current tone, I'm interested in getting a tube head (not an Ampeg) at some point. I used to play through an Ampeg SVT II, and their tone is just too big and round for my taste. I'm on the constant pursuit of a tight, punchy, somewhat bright kind of bass tone.

This has been done before, more or less. But what the hell, I'll join in anyway.
Fender Deluxe Active Jazz bass. I normally hate active basses, but this one sounds like a cross between a non active jazz and a music man stingray.
Sansamp GT-2
Solid State preamp
QSC power amp
Ampeg 6-10 cabinet
