If this is ends up just Bradley and myself talking about this, i don't care.

The Pack may be at 4-5, but overall they're having a great year if you compare it with last year's 4-12 disaster. The team has shown tremendous improvement from week 1 and they keep getting better every week. Favre's playing better than he did last year, is having more fun, and i think he's a lock to come back in 2007 and take out most of Marino's records.

Offensive and Defensive lines = far better than last year, most likely due to coaching as it's basically the same guys as last year with a few rookies sprinkled in. Linebacking is mostly solid, but the backfield is a fucking mess and will end up costing the team more games before the year's out.

The Pack need more receivers too, although i'm already seeing the old "Favre making obscure receivers look better than they are" trend that we saw in the '90s with guys like Corey Bradford and Terry Mickens. Who? Exactly, but with Favre throwing them balls they were on fire, and i saw some of that against the ViQueens today.

8-8's looking like a possibility at this point, which is better than i had hoped coming into the year.

GO PACK- It helped that everyone in da dome was BUMMED, they were quiet and didn't spook Brett. I only saw a little of the game, I gots it on the TIVO and will be peepin it today. Saw the horns off those punk-azz Vikings!

Yuh, but I'm not a fair weather fan, I thought that last year! I'll be there on the 19th (in orange).
Now that the dudes are catching the ball for a change helps, also Driver is on fire. If injuries and panic attacks don't derail the Green and Gold, it could be a sweet season.
(Favre's) a lock to come back in 2007

Hmmm, I never would've believed that, even if they have a winning season, he may just want to go. It's been a long 15 years! ...If he stays, I'll buy you a beer.
"Favre making obscure receivers look better than they are"

True that, Awk Dog.
Keep the positive Packer Love Vibes flowin'! If they beat the New England Patriots, the Pack will have the momentum of a runaway train w/ Jon Voight at the helm.

If anyone has any suggestions for where to go before/after the game, I'd love to hear it

Al. Get to Green Bay as early as you can on game-day.
Cold or not, the atmosphere in the parking lot and on the front lawns surrounding the stadium is unbelievable.
I'd recommend parking on someone's lawn (probably $20, but worth every penny when frozen after the game and want a quick exit).
Bring a grill/beer and set up your tailgate camp. The people up there are great fun and will befriend you immediately - even if you're a Lions fan.
Also, most home-owners will allow you to use their bathrooms for a small tip - $5.
Allow yourself plenty of time (at least a half-hour) to walk through the parking lot and get into the stadium in time for kickoff. Even with the recent renovations, it takes forever to get through security and to your seat.

After the game: Drive home. There is nothing to do in Green Bay outside of attending Packer games.

You'll love it. There's nothing like football in Packertown.
Cheers.

Big game for Detroit. Making a run for the #1 draft pick.

One of my favorite all-time places to hang out in Green Bay is Jake's Pizza, 1149 Main St. The pizza is amazing, the marinara sauce for the breadsticks is excellent, and the drinks are cheap. We used to hang out there before shows at the old Concert Cafe religiously.

Farther down the street, the Green Bay version of The Exclusive Co. (423 Dousman St--Main Street turns into Dousman if i recall correctly) has a pretty kickin' punk/indie section thanks to Timebomb Tom, and across the street Amazing Records should still be there, which is your vinyl hookup.

You may as well spend some time in the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame while you're in town for the game too.

I miss Green Bay a lot sometimes, but you probably couldn't pay me enough to move there.

I plan on hitting Jake's pizza too.

Thanks for the advice.

Yaledelay will be at the game too, if he's not still so sick that he's pooping every 20 minutes. Have fun, and tell Heather at Jake's that the HiFi say hello!
