I found an Otari MX5050 8 track with 8 tracks of Dolby DBX 155, along with a Teac 15 Tascam series mixing board at a local consignment place. It was used as a home studio, and is in excellent condition. I think I could get the whole thing for $700, does this sound like a really good deal? Sorry for posting another question about this Otari MX 5050, but they also have an Ampex 8 track (they say the model is 959 but I think they are wrong) using 1" tape, but that machine alone is going for $895 (before haggling.) Thanks -- Matt

Thanks for the info. Did your deal include a mixing console?
