I am not sure if many of you have used sendspace.com before but a couple of other lists I am on use it to share mp3 files of records that we have on vinyl but want to also have for portable players.

We should start doing this on electrical. It is free to send up to 100 MB I think and the links are public so there is no signing up.

I have gathered the following links:

Dock Boggs - Country Blues
http://www.sendspace.com/file/vopvgg

Fela Kuti - Expensive Shit
http://www.sendspace.com/file/jpd4ar

Pharoah Sanders - Karma
http://www.sendspace.com/file/fkh9q4

Wire - Chairs Missing
http://www.sendspace.com/file/9ybc5n

Captain Beefheart - Lick My Decals Off Baby
http://www.sendspace.com/file/ju0sy2

Hawkwind - Space Ritual
http://www.sendspace.com/file/rz46q3

Please upload some stuff and make requests.

I would be interested in a link for Chrome's "Alien Soundtracks" and "Half Machine..."

oh and before I get kerbled to the gmail account....yes I know this is similar however it seems a bit more user friendly to upload and share on sendspace. No logging in and it seems to be a bit faster as well.

I said for those of us with the vinyl copy and who want the MP3. Surely you are not suggesting that I buy the vinyl and then pay for the same thing again in a different format?

I have worked in record stores for years and if one of my customers buys something on vinyl I will let them import the CD version if I have it used.

You do not agree with this?

I don't need to buy them b/c I already own them on LP. Thanks for doing this pal. This is a great idea for getting digital copies of of stuff you have on LP.

Besides, I would think that most folks on here are ethical enough to buy things they like, rather than just take the download.

I've been working in record stores for most of the last 17 years

Of course you were...we KNOW you work in goddamn record store. Your always working in a record store. You work in a record store. We know it's a record store...hey man, do you work in a record store?

Anyway, I don't work in a record store. I'm not a vinyl only snob. I buy things that come out on CD only. I just got my first iPOd yesterday (a gift), but it's not as cool as a RECORD STORE.

You can argue the merits of CD's over vinyl with other folks on here. I buy records b/c I like them. I download digital music b/c I can't bring a record player to work...b/c I don't work in a RECORD STORE.

I just started BUYING CD's off of LALA.com too...all for the sake of ripping them to my computer. So...I buy LP's and I buy CD's of my LP's too...but it's no RECORD STORE.

My favorite movie is called AT ACTION PARK and the second one is called TERRAFORM.

I'm not even in the band you turd! I'm just stabbin' atcha for gettin' all down on vinyl snobs when you know nothing about me.

Do you need a tissue Chris? It sounds like you're having a RECORD STORE pitty party. Be nice.

If you scroll down the page you will see a small link that says

"---> Download Link: Country Blues.zip"

You click on that file to download. I think you can only download one at a time but they are pretty quick.
