Chicago's first punk release was Strike Under's Immediate Action 12" EP. This record was also Wax Trax #001.

Strike Under included Pierre Kezdy, Bob Furem and the Bjorklund brothers.

When some people say "Chicago Punk" other people respond "Strike Under".

Of course it's not crap.

Also, Chris Bjorklund is in a band with me these days.

This band is great! I mean, who else could write a song about an elephant graveyard of all things and make it almost perfect??!

Thier record still rocks my world...Sunday Night Disorientation is a perfect expression of that shitty sunday feeling I still get, but try to ignore. Seeing a Strike Under live show was a crap shoot depending on how everybody was or wasn't getting along, but when they were on, OMG. Pierre was my fave bass player next to JJ Burnel. Cover songs they did - the theme song to Green Acres tv show, Land of a 1000 dances, and Warhead. Oh, which Joy Division Song did they do??? Anybody remember?
