This has been done before, but not with a poll.
I've only heard Firewater, but from what I've heard I'll probably enjoy the rest of their catalogue as well. A few waffles, but the sincerity of the music makes it less noticeable.

4So very much Not Crap. It took me forever to finally buy a Silkworm album, and even longer to finally give them a fair listen, but I recently realized that they are one of my favorite bands. Honestly, the first time through, all I could think was "what's the big deal," but I gave them a second chance, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
Believe it or not, Blueblood was the album that got me into them. I was surprised to find out it wasn't as highly regarded by other Silkworm fans.

5Blueblood is what roped me in too. The opening track slayed me and then the little guitar riff over the quiet parts in that last song....jesus that's good stuff.
get Libertine!!!! but you better where a diaper if you haven't heard it.

Beautiful, beautiful band, as I've said elsewhere. Buy everything, multiple times, and hand them out.

8I'd honestly like to hear from the one person who has so far voted crap.
My opinion of this band has already been expressed in numerous threads on this board. I was pleasantly surprised when Racetrack accidentally covered two different SKWM songs in one song.

9I can't vote. I've never heard of them. If someone would please provide a link, I'd like to find out for myself.

There's a free download of "Bar Ice" from the posthumous Chokes EP at http://12xu.net/
Edit: Oh, and also one full-length sample track per album from Touch and Go:
