solid state amps that sound good or " unique" when

Why solid state?
The new Epiphone Valve Jr. is getting rave reviews. People on Ebay are modding them for extra gain, tone knobs, etc.

$100 gets you the head. $150 for the combo. Probably less used, if you can find them, because people adore them. Apparently they get pretty loud too.
Class A, with a single EL84 tube for that oh-so-British tone.

If I didn't already have an Orange Tiny Terror, I'd get one in a minute.

I left chorus and reverb disabled, but if that's your thing it's available. I still have the amp, but it's generally not loud enough for practicing with a drummer in a large room, so I don't use it much.

I think that's similar to what I was playing, except I think I had the deluxe w/ no chorus? I can't remember, it was a friends.

I'm looking for something a little different. I've had tons of tube amps, but once in a while a little niche sound is nice. I've heard some solid state amps that sounded kind of cool when cranked (Usually from the 80s I think) A guy locally plays one and always gets a cool sound out of it (arguably it's not for everything though)

You will. I just bought Mayfair's TS-25 a few weeks back.

it's awesome good sounding, and I've been playing through a fender twin for the past six years. Nice clean sound, but the gain boost makes some really chubby distortion. Great reverb sound, though no footwsitch for it and there's no mid-range knob, just treble and bass. great for the home, though.

she is a good amp.
kerble is right.
