I had some friends tour with them and they are a fake-o LA band. Fake-O in that their label had paid people to line up outside their shows to increase buzz four hours before the show in SfO.

I heard their single and liked it; then I read this.

Can bands with dubious beginnings who choose to employ these tactics, (ignorance of their labels business practices or not), still write good music?
