Topaz Mixing Desks

Hi nice to be on the forum!

I'm looking to get an analogue mixing desk to replace the HD recorder i currently use as my audio interface.

I've discovered a lot of talk on these forums about Topaz desks being good, i found a cheap one on offer the other day, but i'm not sure whether this is the model that people are reccomending. It seems relatively cheap, almost new, apparently, between £150 - £250 (Need to do some haggling)

Here's a picture. I've searched the other topics, but no one really goes into too much detail, mainly just advising that they are good desks. If anyone could give me a bit more detail, what the best models are, and how this one stands up etc then i'd be really grateful.

Thanks.

I don't know what the picture is of, to be honest, but i've started working with a Project 8 Topaz desk during the last few months and i'm very happy with it. It did cost me a bit more than £250 though.
If you do a google search for these desks within the UK, you can see what's available, work out the going rate, figure out what you need and how much you're willing to spend etc. Sorry I can't be of anymore help foundry-i'm essentially just bumping your post in the hope that someone more knowledgable will chip in.

Burging in:

There's one guy selling a topaz 24X8X2 for 1536USD.

How much this console worth? How does it sound? How is it compared to others?
(and what others?)
