What lynx module? Are you referring to the lynx soundcards?

Or do I just sound really stupid now?

The Microlynx that we have, and the Studer TLS 4000 are the only other controllers I've seen.
Do you have a spare box to see if it is the lynx or your machine freezing?

if you reckon you're after a microlynx replacement check out www.colinbroad.com.

from personal experience I can recommend Colin as one of the few remaining genii when it comes to all things timecode!
