I went to the Battles/Knot Feeder/Poison Arrows show last night. Verdict: I am loving the Knot Feeder, which comes across as the muscular, ultra-tight, off-kilter rocking of Don Cab distilled and concentrated. Excellent! I hope there are plans for recording this band.

Poison Arrow: well played, very Fall-esque, though we've kind of heard that before.

Battles: went on very late, so I only caught a bit of the set. Very much like the single off the upcoming release, so rather unlike the EPs.

I need to hear more of this band.

Matt Jencik (Don Cab II) is now in a band called Slint.

rob from tabula rasa is a good friend of mine and used to drum / sing in my old band. he's definitely the best drummer i've ever played with and probably one of the best drummers i've ever seen...
