Forgive me, I'm an idiot.
What has E=MC2 done for us? I've been reading various websites about Einstein and his theory and while they all go into mindbending detail about how it works, I can't find out what it does.
Aside from the atom bomb, which is shit if you ask me, how has the world benefited from E=MC2? Where can we see it in action?
Thanks in advance.
Increase The Peace!

Giorgio Moroder did a great song about it? He sings the album credits at the end of it through a vocoder. "Tea - and coff-ee - by -Lau-ra!"

I don't know about E=MC², but E=MC5 gave us "Kick Out The Jams", which is pretty sweet

Don't get too into it. It'll be an obsolete realm of thought in the next 20 years or so. So understand it for the footnote it'll become. Maybe 10 years ago I would have gushed about how insanely gifted Albert Einstein was, but now, not so much.

Faster-than-light particles have made the theory of special relativity obsolete, I thought.
