My guitar is gone.

Wow, that was fast.

I have been thinking about selling my main guitar, a 1965 Epiphone Coronet for some time. I never play it anymore, and it seemed a shame to just have it hanging about. So, last night, I took some pictures, then boxed it up and weighed it, then posted it on Ebay. I thought I was reaching a little when I put a Buy it Now price of $1000 on it.

It lasted 30 minutes. Gone. I sent a paypal invoice this morning. The money was in my pay pal account in 15 minutes. I printed out the shipping lable and dropped it off at Fed Ex this morning. It's gone.

So long beautiful punk rock guitar. I will miss you.

My guitar is gone.

if I could only keep the money segregated into special "guy" money, so I could buy an Ohlins shock for my motorcycle, or new leathers, or a new super telephoto lens, or some other manly thing.

Sadly, the funds will probably go towards painting the kid's rooms. Wife's on a bit of a tear about that recently.

but the next spare grand is going right into a lovely gold and red Ohlins shock for the rear of my RC-51.

But shit, I got this guitar 17 years ago, had all kinds of fun playing it and jumping around like a lunatic. Played 6 years worth of memorable shows which I don't really remember, and then I get to cash out at the end and make a profit? And I still have boxes of singles to remember the whole experience...

I'd do it all over again.

My guitar is gone.

Yes but how about when he sells his guitar?

Anyway the songs would be a musician's children, using your cloying analogy.

Alright, to split hairs, dammit. The songs would be his child, but then would the guitar be his baby's momma?
