I've got a Epiphone Les Paul, and I've had it for two years. I've only changed the strings maybe three times. It still sounds good, no string has broke yet, and I put it through hell. I'm wondering how many times you guys change 'em.

It does not sound "good".

I change every time I play a show, or when they start sounding dead.

for every show. I keep old strings for in between show breakages.

I'm about an hour away from the nearest guitar shop, so when I get the chance to go, I stock up on some packs. I'm down to my last one. I keep reading about guitarists who boil their strings. Have any of you done that?

I change the strings on my guitar every 10-15 minutes, I like to keep a fresh tone

When they break.

New strings suck. My guitar has been wearing the same lower three for about five years now.
