i bought this poster back in 99 (maybe 2000) and i was wondering if anyone knew who the artist was.
i remember Taking Pictures kicking my ass, are they even around anymore, did they put out anything?

Definitely the work of Mat Daly. He played guitar in the now-defunct Taking Pictures.
Mat is a really great artist -

that's mat daly. yes.
his newer work is way more abstract.
taking pictures recorded an album called 'friends are ghosts'.
noah, the drummer, has gone on to be in challenger and some other bands. matt jencik, the bass player, just joined some other really big band.

wow, i have 2 other newer mat daly pieces and i would have never guessed it was the same guy. thanks for filling me in. now to track down that album.
