I was wondering when this would happen.

An ex-girlfriend of mine (short relationship; only went out for a month and a half before she moved away which was a good thing because I didn't fully realize how crazy she is until after she left) sends out something she calls "Tidbits" every couple of weeks containing articles and links on a variety of health, environmental and political topics. They're usually a fairly predictable assortment of left-wing diatribes, but the last one was unique. As the subject line says, it's the David Icke (he's not mentioned, but it's the same kind of conspiratorial mind set) take on global warming. Here are some excerpts:


The Great Global Warming Hysteria is a perfect example of the mass
media's mass-brainwashing because it's directed at everybody, and
exposing it gives us the best chance of exposing the mass media as
criminally irresponsible liars once and for all. It's shocking to
realize we've been lied to again, and that The Global Warming Fraud
Equals Global Genocide without saving the environment in any way, but
it's also a wonderful opportunity to wake tons of people up.

Or kill all of us.

So really, we have no choice...

A common charge leveled against those who question the official
orthodoxy of the global warming religion is that
they are acting as
stooges for the western establishment and big business interests. If
this is the case, then why do the high priests of the elite and
kingpin oil men continue to fan the flames of global warming hysteria?

The Trilateral Commission, one of the three pillars of the New World
Order in alliance with Bilderberg and the CFR, met last week in near
secrecy to formulate policy on how best they could exploit global
warming fearmongering to ratchet up taxes and control over how
westerners live their lives.

At the confab, European Chairman of the Trilateral Commission,
Bilderberger and chairman of British Petroleum Peter Sutherland
(pictured top), gave a speech to his elitist cohorts in which he
issued a "Universal battle cry arose for the world to address "global
warming" with a single voice."

Echoing this sentiment was General Lord Guthrie, director of N.M.
Rothschild & Sons, member of the House of Lords
and former chief of
the Defense Staff in London, who urged the Trilateral power-brokers to
"Address the global climate crisis with a single voice, and impose
rules that apply worldwide."

Allegations that skeptics of the man-made explanation behind global
warming are somehow doing the bidding of the elite are laughable in
the face of the fact that Rothschild operatives and the very chairman
of British Petroleum are the ones orchestrating an elitist plan to
push global warming fears in order to achieve political objectives.

We have a similar situation to the Peak Oil scam , which was created
by the oil industry as a profit boon to promote artificial scarcity,
and yet is parroted by environmentalists who grandstand as if they are
in opposition to the oil companies.

Many people can't see the effects of the corporate-fascist media's
proposed solutions are killing millions of poor people worldwide, and
if you don't like the "genocide" in Iraq then it's absolutely bonkers
to agree to
the "global warming genocide" worldwide. Even if can
justify killing them in some warped way because you think it preserves
our lifestyles, understand that the same process of stealing wealth
and repression applied to them will be applied to us under global
agreements - it's in the agreements.

Many liberals and environmentalists have their hearts in the right
place, and it's good to have people concerned about keeping the planet
clean and safe. However, many have to learn that their leaders can
bought and paid for and trotted-out to lie too, and that Global
Warming is the biggest and worst lie of all, tugging at our
heartstrings and love of planet earth to help us destroy it even more
than we have. It's sad but true, and we have to understand that if
we're serious about Saving The Earth we shouldn't adopt the solutions
suggested by the media owned by the corporations who've been
destroying it.

Many measures we hear
about and discuss are aimed squarely at people
without cutting into corporate profits, and all the solutions except
for "pollution credits" allowing governments and corporations to
continue polluting to save our economies are focused on people
"sacrificing" to save the planet. We're being trained to bitch at
each other about the nobility of "paying more and using less to make a
difference" instead of actually saving the planet from the
corporations destroying it, and if this keeps up we'll just fight with
each other instead of saving the environment.

Many people don't realize we are unwittingly increasing corporate
profits and power with more acceptably expensive products, higher tax
revenues, and increased poverty increasing their privatized
prison-labor work-forces who get 1/10th of minimum wage while working
like slaves, to say nothing of army recruitment, which adds military
muscle to the economic globalization mafia.
This will only empower
them to destroy the planet at an even greater pace for even greater
profits, and this is what supporting the "global warming" hype will
engineer.

Many qualified and "real" climate scientists vigorously dispute it
with serious science, like current CO2 levels being roughly equal with
early 1900's pre-industrial levels, CO2 actually being good for
plants, florists pumping 3x as much CO2 as is currently in our
atmosphere into greenhouses to stimulate plant growth, and CO2 being a
very small part of greenhouse gases as a whole. Most CO2 emissions
come from creatures exhaling, and most of it comes from the creatures
in the ocean. Plants absorb CO2 and produce oxygen, so higher CO2
emissions

Many people don't know that humans have nothing to do with 94% of it
even according to the incredibly politicized UN IPCC study, which
stretched the numbers to come up with the figure of even 6% of "CO2
caused
global warming" caused by human activity. Oddly enough that
number is not mentioned in most news stories and propaganda (same
thing), but that's probably because it proves it's crap. Even the
cuddly polar bear mascot stuff is crap, and polar bear populations are
actually increasing due to warm weather spurring the growth of nature
in cold climates, giving them more plants to eat and making punching
holes in the softer ice to grab fish a hell of a lot easier. Don't
listen to the GreenPeaceUSA.org commercial either: they can swim.
This temporary warming is caused by natural changes in the earth's
atmosphere caused by the sun, solar rays and other factors, and it can
all be explained away so we finally focus on serious environmental
issues.

Many of TV's self-righteous demagogues are being exposed as well.
Democratic Presidential candidate John Edwards even said "Global
Warming will make World War Three look like heaven", which
might be a
genocidal pun on behalf of his Bilderberg Group (he attended in 2006)
benefactors indicating they'll get us one way or the other. When the
evil corporate-fascist elite media who've been selling us the "War on
Terror" are now selling us this "Global Warming" nightmare, and when
they're doing it like this, with traditional vile and mindless
hyperbole that tugs at the conscience of hating the right people, you
can't just sit on the fence, you have to be a responsible and
intelligent human being and expose the lie and the why...

Effectively Edwards is saying global warming will kill more than 19
million people. Hysterical? An exaggeration? Noooooooo......you
can
trust this Bilderberger.


It's the cabal theory - that behind every significant event lies some shadowy group out to gain or maintain power - with almost always some relation (as the word "cabal" coming from "Kabbalah" suggests) to Jews: note the references to the Rothschilds - the Jewish bankers extraordinaire that so many love to blame for all sorts of things.

That's quite a funny post. The post itself, not the article. There's a strong case to be made for the theory that global warming isn't man made, but that the sun is causing the increased temperature. The global warming issue has taken on a distinctly warped face, where every company and government exploit it for it's own gain.

"Hey everyone, you're causing the global warming, so let's all get new appliances that are all energy star rated."

What about the ice caps? They're remnants of the past ice age, they're sooner or later likely to melt unless another ice age comes.

Now I'm not saying people didn't completely add to this problem, but that it is way overblown. I'm sure the 100+ years of factory fumes and car emissions add to the destruction of the atmosphere, but to turn this into an "Average Joe is the problem" case only takes away blame from the real causes.

EDIT: I choose to downplay the role of the "Elite" because it's mostly a bunch of shit Alex Jones uses to get us to tune in. Humanity may be under the thumb, but it's not as clear cut as "Bohemian Grove". But that's a different thread.

Alex Jones uses the same tactics as the media. Fear mongering, and like a rabid dog, he pounces at the latest bit of news. I appreciate a dissenting opinion in the media, probably more so than most, but the way he jumped at the chance to scream "Mind Control" just two days after the Virginia Shooting is shameless and idiotic.
