However, i saw Stereo Total play at Onopa in Milwaukee with, i believe, Quintron and Miss Pussycat opening. Quintron, of course, was a blazing firestorm of organ, photocell theramin drum buddies, and nonstop showmanship. Stereo Total stood there like cute French douchebags, hit a couple sequences, and that was it. CRAP.

Stereo Total are very famous in the fatherland with a certain type of "hipster", though that's not really an accurate description. More like bland neo-hippie that skateboards and likes designer clothing-type of person. I've asked "fans" if they can explain the joke to me but so far I've only gotten odd looks for asking that question.
I accidently walked into an afterparty of theirs at one of my favorite hangouts in Nuremberg and for the first time felt the need to leave that place very soon. For that alone, a major CRAP.

I saw them a year back at NuMusic, and I found them a lot of fun. They're not great, but they played with a lot of enthusiasm and showed a good sense of humour.

I admit that I do find their schtick endearing. I am a sucker for bands with choruses like "Ringo, I love you.... YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!"

Not crap.

They've got some really great songs.

Just fucking play already. Gil Mantera's Party Dream are doing this shtick and better than anyone else. Leave it to them, because we really don't need more than one.

This band played in Argentina a few years ago. I had heard a couple of songs because they were on Kill Rock Stars. It was a fun show, thought it seem idiotic. Not Crap with some waffles.
