Police Teeth is recording with him in about a month. I'll have a more informed opinion for you then.
Based soley off his work on records for Mudhoney, Young Fresh Fellows, Scared of Chaka, Flop, Mono Men, and tons of others, he makes good, simple rock recordings.

Yes, myself and other forum members Horsewhip (James) and Coach (Richy).
We're opening for Bouncing Souls next week.

The good thing about that show is the quality of names happens to tie in nicely with the quality of the respective bands.
I suppose the other fringe benefit is that the sane people can get an early night after watching Police Teeth tear shit up.

More likely most the pop punk kids will just shrug their shoulders and keep talking. Fuckin' pop punk kids!
But hey, back to Conrad Uno! I actually think
Piece of Cake sounds better than
EGBDF. It would even be an awesome record if not for the terrible filler.

I went to Egg about six weeks ago to drop off our deposit, and hung out for about half an hour. These are my findings:
Conrad Uno gives really good directions. I had no problem finding Egg. NC.
He also really really likes to drink. Especially tequila and whiskey. But as he tells me, "I don't like to drink at sessions, until the end of the night. Usually when people bring Conrad Uno whiskey to drink, they bring me the Maker's Mark, but really, I just like to drink whatever everyone else is drinking." Also NC. I hope he likes Beam.
He owns the old Stax board, and records to 2" 16 track. This is NC any way you slice it.
I am really looking forward to this session. I'm a little bit geeked out, because this is going to be my first experience working with a "name" engineer, and because the man has recorded a handful of records that I really, really, enjoy.
