It's been years since I've drawn with any regularity, but this year I've taken to drawing show posters once again. It's been enjoyable, and I feel like my stuff has been getting better lately and that I'm starting to get my chops back. Some friends of mine have commissioned me to design a t-shirt for their band, and another friend wants me to do a logo for his new band. I'm hoping this eventually evolves into me learning how to screenprint, as well as other non-promotional art.

Anyone else here draw? I mean in addition to jayryan, because we already know he's awesome.

Here's a flyer I did for a show coming up in less than two weeks:

And here is a link to other posters I've drawn.

Now post yours!

Ooh, that is really cool! You should do more.

I need to learn how to screenprint to make my drawings "legitimate".

Thanks! I hope to do more. I didn't do the screenprinting though (I recently got a book to learn this, even though I do other kinds of printmaking I never tried this).

It's just a charcoal pencil drawing scanned into photoshop to draw in better screenprint-ready b&w values and add the text. I think I probably made the process way more difficult for myself than it needed to be.

btw, the rats w/umbrellas flyer is hilarious.

Nope, unfortunately. I want to learn how to screenprint, but just haven't committed myself to it yet. Or, at the very least, convinced someone with a printing shop (and I do know some of these folks, living in Minneapolis) to print my stuff for me.

This is pretty bad because I can't draw for shit, but it's one I did a few months ago.
