I wonder if this is even worth a shit. I really want to see Minsk cause I like them but there's like 100 bands that are all probably not my thing and it's $36 per day, plus I can't even find a set schedule so I know I won't miss them yet don't have to be there for the whole time.

I'd go just to see Vampire Moose.

I've never been to one, but the Metalfest has a long and glorious history here in Milwaukee. But i do believe they fill out the bill with just about any local metal band they can find, so i wouldn't be surprised if 50% of the lineup is Wisconsin-area chuggachuggachuggaGROOOWWLLLLL foolishness. Don't take my word for it, though.

these long fests are exhausting... most of the time my brain is numb by the time the band i want to see comes on the stage. They probably only get 25 minutes anyways, so if none of the other bands interest you it's probably not worth it... Rwake is awesome but it looks like they are playing on a different day than Minsk. Macabre is fun, but the rest of those bands in the small green font are probably endless blast beats with oink oink vocals...

I played it twice and had a lot of fun both times
I never went as a fan, but if that scene is your thing I can't imagine a better time
