I will start by saying that .22 was once compared to
Silverchair in a review.

in a write-up of my former band Heron, the author wrote a line something like "her vocals make kim gordon sound like [some opera singer's name i don't remember]".

Then they add some crazy, short, chubby dude who suffers both from short man syndrome and fat rage. I think they'd be better with no singer.
also:
what is your most recent local disappointment? mine is the stunning. i saw this band recently and am very disappointed. i would expect more from a band made up of such local greats. snore, unoriginal, that vets guitar guy is pretty good tho, drummer and singer should be
replaced.

We've been pretty fortunate and have gotten stellar reviews everywhere except M.R.R.. It wasn't mean spirited, just said that the vocals sounded dry and flat. We do always get Primus comparisions which I don't understand at all.

We got one from Go-Mag in Spain that said our drummer
changes rhythm whenever he fancies - as if the fact that they come from Chicago makes drummers do whatever they want when they want, then the only real danger is that this formula, which initially promises so much for its freshness, originality and playfulness, ends up blowing up in their hands.
It wasn't bad as much as snarky, but whatever.

We also got one from DeRogatis that said "we we hardly Dangerous or Adventurous, but cool nonetheless"
They're hardly rolling or made of stone, but....

Upon first listen to this record, I thought the singer sounded a little strange, so I listened to side 1 a few times. Then I put on side 2, but I had to go to the bathroom, so I missed most of it.
