I'm not terribly well versed on contemporary hip hop, but when I hear these songs I can't help but think a line here, a riff here, a beat here, would be sampling gold:
Never My Love- The Association.
The bassline to Daily Planet by Love
Can anybody else think of any? I just thought of those two.

I'm not a huge Siouxie Sioux and the Banshees fan, but I always thought that hook from "Cities in Dust," coupled with the right beat, would sound pretty solid.

James Chance's "Contort Yourself" bassline would be good in a hip hop track.
The guitar line in Head Of David's "108" would work well, too.
