With oink acting strange lately I've been forced to get used to soulseek. It's not bad, light years better than limewire. When used in tamdem, you can really find some good shit. But my vote is for bit torrent.

torrents baby. soulseek is only for times of extreme desperation, the likes of which i do not want to imagine.
oh and oink is working again; if it isn't for you, skronk gives directions on the torrent thread in general discussions.

For music, Soulseek. You can find pretty much anything on there if you look hard enough. With obscurities on Soulseek, the overall success rate that you'll actually be able to download the entire package within reasonable time is much higher than that of torrents. I like Soulseek more than any other p2p software past or present.
Torrents are excellent,as well but they're better for downloading movies and more popular shit.

i have dialup, torrents take years.
i've found most anything i've wanted on soulseek.
live shows and out of print records i never even knew existed.
both are not crap, though.

I'm too lazy to work out how to rip vinyl to MP3.

I like Soulseek, but there's nothing like a comprehensive torrent site, like oink. I can find stuff easily on a torrent site, that I can't find in stores. Usually the mp3's are higher quality than on soulseek, the vast number of mp3's are just 128 on soulseek.
