Just watched some old Flaming Lips footage on Youtube. Reminded me of a time I saw them touring 'Clouds Taste Metallic' in Glasgow- I've seen the Lizard and Nirvana live, but Steven Drozd kicked the fucking shit out of the drums that night - people were wincing when he was soundchecking. Not being a drummer I couldn't say whether he is actually any good, but hey, I still talk about it.

Would anyone care to shoot me down in flames, or even better offer an alternative opinion?

Drozd is tremendous.

I don't know who the best drummer I've ever seen is.

The drummer in Quatre Tete really impressed the shit out of me the other night.

Rey Washam (spelling?) from Rapeman and Scratch Acid was a fucking madman.

I really like the parts that Jordan Read in Colony of Watts writes.

I'm not a big Who fan, but Keith Moon was nutters on the kit.

Steven is a joy to watch and he is heroin free.

I remember not being able to take my eyes off of Loraxx's drummer one night.

Kotche is good.

My opinion on Wilco continues to waiver...I think I'm starting to hate them...(that commercial was gross).

The discovery of Insignificance plays a role in this...

I remember seeing Trans Am at the Fireside Bowl in 97. The drummer was amazing. At one point, he was hitting the high-hat so fast, you couldn't see his hands. He played like a psychotic robot on speed.

Also, Damon Che from Don Cab is pretty amazing.

There's plenty more I can think of, but might as well let other people say it...
