That's sad to hear. Mr. Butch was a Boston staple for so many years...the guy was everywhere....it was a rare day when I didn't see him around the Allston-Brighton area.

I remember this guy. He was awesome. This sucks.

This is sad, I remember him being pretty cool. In the old days, youd see him either in front of The Rat, or somewhere in the vicinity of it on Kenmore Sq.

A freind of mine was going to play bass in a band that had Mr Butchie on guitar with another guy who was known a world away as the Vietnamese Jimi Hendrix in the late 60's, early 70's.

aw man. that's it, kenmore square is dead to me now. the Rat is gone. Now Butch is dead. Fuck.

Sammie is now officially the last punk rock black guy in Boston. Fuck. Mr. Butch - he has been a fixture since about 1982, maybe even before. He was always good for a smoke, or he would cheerfully accept pizza crusts in exchange. If he had a beer, he would give a sip.
