Vocal Microphones

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but it seems like there is a dearth of posts regarding vocal microphones and techniques- apart from a short discussion of the AEA R84.
It would be great if we could all contribute a microphone suggestion for a particular quality of voice. Ex: Royer R121s are good for "screechy female vocals"
Or, post your favorite or most unique mic solutions...
And Steve, if you can remember, what mics did you use for Kim's vocals on the 2 Breeders albums you recorded? Did you have to switch to a different microphone for Title TK to accommodate her maturing voice?
Thanks everyone.
Dan
