It's funny because I got about a third through the article and he brings up envy, and I almost stopped reading right there.

"Oh, boy it's going to be one of those dinesh types." Another fucking clarence thomas...sucking up, instead of standing up for what's right, going along with the flow to buy a BMW.

Of the many "Why do they hate us" articles that have appeared over the last few years, this one was at best so-so - statin' the bleedin' obvious, innit?

To anyone interested, I'd reccomend taking a look at My Enemy's Enemy by George Crile, about how the US armed the Taleban through Pakistan. It's hard (for me) to say how balanced it is, but it's very interesting about how the CIA actually do stuff overseas, and the cast of characters involved is quite incredible.

And aren't the initial foundations (at least) of what America was built on things you all agree with?

Because I'm guessing your viewing angle down the bridge of your nose obscured the part where he explained that he's both American and Pakistani.

It's ironic that those very rape laws were written by the dictator the author of the article describes as being propped up by the U.S., along with his Islamization of the country, in order to fight the Cold War by proxy. So you're actually helping to make his point AND his grain of salt! Way to go!

All that is not to mention that you got it wrong and that there is no capital punishment for being raped in Pakistan. (There used to be for consensual extramarital sex, thanks to the U.S.-backed dictator mentioned earlier.)
