I saw both versions at a store over the weekend, and my friend decided to buy the sovtek version. Man does it kick ass. My question is, if I were to throw down some cash, which should I go with? Does the US version have anything better to offer?

US Little Big Muff.
Sounds better.
More reliable.
Better case.
Smaller.

I am another convert to the Little Big Muff.

I bought it initally to try and duplicate the guitar sounds on Deluxe by Harmonia.

I was finally converted when I played it through a shitty 15w solid state Fender practice amp and even then it sounded like I was God, or Tony Iommi or something...

I play a Sovtek big muff and I'm always bumping the volume up or down with my feet.

It's so frustrating, I have no idea why they're so easy to turn.

The old green Sovtek pedals are fantastic. The newer black version a bit less so. I'm less familiar with the new American versions, but my pick would be the green one.

I have the big American version. I once used the black Sovtek version. Depending on what you are going for, I've heard and tend to agree that the Sovtek version is better. Haven't tried the mini Big Muff to know, but who doesn't like a little Muff every now and then?

I've never understood the appeal of these things.

The only version I've ever liked was the tiny "Muff Fuzz" that plugged into your guitar output or amp input.

Big Muffs, barrfff.

Not a fan of the Sovtek one. Makes any guitar sound like a Big Muff.

I used to hate.
And I mean HATE.

The LBM really sounds good though. It does a great old school fuzz, like a Tone Bender or something. The LBM can get brighter than the old ones, but for the stoners, it will still do the heavy thing.
I think the "bees in a can" fuzz.
I also use mine on bass in a psych pop band.

The Sovtek Big Muff looks like a tank, hence is cooler, hence automatically sounds better. We all know that.
