So my brother is travelling in Chicago right now...on the south side. He just called me with all kinds of crazy noise in the background to tell me he's in a tornado...stuck in his car under a highway overpass.
Is it Armageddon up there or what?
Crazy Storms
2Power and phones went out for about 20 minutes at about 3:00 here in West Chicago. Thye are back on now (3:40). The storm is moving fast so hopefully it will quiet down soon. I'd expect flooding in the City...intense rain still.
Crazy Storms
3You have them too? It's madness in here, I witness wild display of lightings almost everyday now. 2 days ago there was incredibly powerfull storm in the lake area north-east from where I live, 3 people are dead and 10 or so are missing with hundreds of boats and yachts sunken.

5yep, the tornado sirens went off in Evanston. The storm wasn't that crazy by me in south Evanston but I hear it was crazy just North in Wilmette and just South in Rogers Park. Strange.

In retrospect, I should have stepped off the stage and utter-kicked Mrs. O'Leary's cow.

8It was pitch black and pouring here, with water rushing up to the gutters 10 minutes ago.
There were four kids hudding under my awning trying to stay dry and I asked them in. I am very, very busy doodling from Ernst Haeckel jelly fish plates, so wtf.
One of the kids, sporting a short, storm-toppled mohawk walked in, looked up (cause that's where music comes from), wiped his nose on his sleeve and said "Whoa. You like Joy Division."
Now it's raining very lightly.
