Replacement Guitar Necks

I have a cheap strat (that I happen to like) with a really squirrelly neck. Anyone have experience with some of the lower end replacement necks on the market? I've seen many Mighty Mite necks around but just wondering if I'll end up with another equally crappy neck. Not looking to drop $300+ on really good one. Just a solid neck to do the job. Any recommendations?

No experience with Mighty Mite, but I have a neck made by USA Custom Guitars. It's a company started by former Warmoth employees. They make a superb replacement, but may be more than you want to spend. You can, on occasion, find Warmoth necks for as little as $150 on Ebay. That's what I bought my USACG neck for. It took a little some and a bit of luck to find the right auction.

Thanks for the tip! - I just checked out their website. They to have a couple of "webspecials" for around $160 that might do the trick. [/quote]

Warmoths are apparently really good.

I've got one. It is really good. Much better than the previous neck ('91 USA strat) and the current Fender necks I have played. Be aware that you may find the rest of your guitar pales in comparison after the switch.
