I've been wanting to get some D&D games going for some time, but I just don't know that many people into it, nor am I much of a DM. There's one other person on electrical interested in doing this. So, there's two for now.

Would anyone be interested in playing once or twice a month? Are there any DM's out there?

I mean, we'd be sitting around at night bullshitting, playing some fantasy games, beating up bug-bears until we can fight hordes of the undead. Maybe some beer or whiskey will be involved, as well as some other forms of socialized drug usage.

I might have double (and triples) of some or all of the 1st edition AD&D rulebooks and modules... let me know what you are looking for and I'll try to pass them on.

Also, you can pick up the first three rulebooks for pretty cheap on the eBay...

Also, www.advancinghordes.com still has Gamescience dice... just like the old days!

wish I lived in Chicago to join in... I bet D&D on cocaine would be FUN!

D20 would be more fun and easier people returning to the game to pick up and deal with. You don't want to be playing 1st or 2nd edition at this point. A little money spent on a new manual wiull pay off in the time you spend not trying to figure out what your THAC0 is, or if you made your listen check.

why?

I understand it's easier but I'm so used to 1st edition and I have my trusy DM's screen for all that so it's really quick...

The only reason I was thinking to get D20 was to play these:
