Priest all the way for me.

This one's gonna get heated, and my money's on Maiden as the preferred band, but I'm going with Priest. Maiden's got the chops, but Priest's got the balls. And yes, I have heard "Turbo Lover." I agree. It's gay. Still, Priest wins out.

maiden all the way. maiden always ruled, and still does. preist sucked and always will (well okay, except they had some nice gtr solos, i cannot deny). maiden looked like a bunch of dorks who couldn't decide if they wanted go to the gym, or stay home and play D&D. priest looked like they couldn't decide if they wanted to take it in the ass or the mouth. maiden. maiden. maiden.

I have to go with Priest all the way. Maiden always seemed silly to me with their big scary muppet and... well.. thats it.

I was on a small side stage in Denmark for Roskilde, a large outdoor festival a few years ago and it just so happened the somewhat quite band I was playing with was against Iron Maiden on the main stage. We could not hear ourselves over Maiden one tiny bit. A terrible show ensued... THANKS A LOT EDDIE!

judas priest was pretty funny, and 'walkin' after midnight' and 'breakin' the law' are totally kickass

I'm suprised to see Priest getting the shaft! (Har, har.) I knew the majority would go with Maiden, but Priest still have much better songs.

Maiden succeeds only as headbangin' fodder.

Priest succeeds on the levels of both heavy metal and classic rock.

Maiden. But I enjoy both. And not in a "they're a good laugh" sorta way. Both really great bands.

Anyway - PRIEST.

Although I do like Maiden alot. Very different bands, actually, but I'll give Priest the edge for executing complex melodicism and Queen-like grandeur while still being heavy.

Or something like that.
